Don and Grandson Daiven Trip

One day Don took Daiven out to the beach. Daiven was very brave, he swam in the cold water for about two hours!! The water is generally about 66 degrees. The picture on the right was taken at Shadow Mt. Church on Saturday night. Don and Daiven were guest with brother Reggie and his friend Grace!! All former servicemen were given medals for their service, Don was in the Army and Reggie was in the Navy. He was the one who drew Mom and Dad to CA.
The statue above is a copy of a picture of a sailor returning home after World War Two!! It is next door to the Midway!!
On Sunday morning Don and Daiven attended Skyline Church with Reggie, he has been a long time member there. That afternoon the boys drove east to the Laguna Mts. You can see the desert from the overlooks along the highway!! Don and Daiven above enjoying the scenery!!
Grace joins the boys for dinner after the service on Saturday night.
